Our Mission
Mirror Minds and the Laser Telepointer are the original creations of our company's founder Wendell Quillen who wanted to apply his considerable technical skills without having to lift, climb, walk and toil; things that lose their appeal exponentially with age. After a few years, he was instructing his daughter fifty miles away on the subtleties of changing a vacuum cleaner belt pointing at the various pulleys and adjustments as they went; a successful mission. We then successfully tested the Laser Telepointer in disability training, auto mechanics and transmission repair.
Now, as Mirror Minds and its primary product mature, we are focused on identifying and prioritizing markets, establishing manufacturing capabilities and capturing as much of this huge, untapped market as possible. It is impossible to estimate market size other than to say its huge. Every organization on earth does training and hires short term experts paying trainers and experts alike to appear in person. There is certainly no substitute for face-to-face communication but sometimes it is not practical or possible. Even if our Laser Telepointer could drastically reduce the cost of only ten percent of those meetings and sessions, it would pay for itself in weeks and produce savings from then on. How big is a market that includes all companies, agencies and educational institutions?
Combining a separately controlled laser pointer with a video camera and controlling it via internet connection is patented and Mirror Minds has the exclusive right to develop, manufacture and sell this product. Therefore, we will benefit from any advancement of this concept anywhere in the world.
Our primary mission, then, is to leverage our position as an IT innovator and capture as much market share as possible through a combination of manufacturing and licensing. But perhaps more importantly, we are going to continue generating ideas that either improve or expand existing products or produce new solutions to a variety of problems.
